6 simple steps to the web design process
Sign Up
First you need to sign up to our service. Please get in touch and we can talk through the different packages, provide a quote and answer any questions that you may have.
When you sign up you will need to pay 50% upfront with the balance due when your site goes live. We accept debit cards, credit cards or bank transfers. Our hosting & maintenance charges start from when your website is live.
RESEARCH
After you sign up we will ask you to complete a short design questionnaire. This allows us to understand what you want and we can then research what other similar companies do. We also look at current design trends, what we know works well from a marketing perspective and other strong external industry websites. This stage is all about us understanding what you want but adding our design and marketing experience to complement your project.
Once we know the site's goals, we can
define the scope of the project. I.e., what pages and features the site requires to fulfill the goal, and the timeline for building those out.
DESIGN
With the scope well-defined, we can start digging into the sitemap, defining how the content and features we defined in scope definition will interrelate.
Our website designer will create a design for you to review and then work with you until you are happy to sign it off. We offer multiple revisions until sign off and it’s important that we do not start the development until you are ready and approved the design. Please note that once the design is approved and the project moves onto the development stage that any design changes may incur an additional charge.
BUILD
Once the design is agreed the website will be built. This involves taking the agreed design and coding it so that it works across all different devices and screen sizes.
Every website that we create is responsive (also known as mobile friendly) and fully dynamic with easy-to-use back-nd system. At this stage you will also need to supply the words for every page and if it's an ecommerce website we will show you how to add categories and products to the website.
TESTING & LAUNCH
Once the site has all its visuals and content, we're ready for testing. Thoroughly test each page to make sure all links are working and that the website loads properly on all devices and browsers.
When the website is finally ready, we will put it live. If you already own your domain name then we will work through the different options to recommend the best domain configuration for your project. Regardless of if it is a new domain or an existing domain we will also let Google know to re-index the website starting its journey towards your audience.
SUPPORT
Our job does not end when the site goes live. For a lot of clients that is where it starts! We are here to support you as much or as little as you need and if you need any updates that you cannot or don’t want to do through the CMS we will do them under our maintenance package.
We also offer digital marketing servies like Pay-Per-Click(PPC) and Search Engine Optimization(SEO) services where we try and make your website rank better for agreed phrases in Google. As your business grows or changes we are on hand when you need us.
